For six decades, Good Samaritan Home has been focused on one thing… CARE.
Life Plan Community
Since its inception, Good Samaritan Home has grown and evolved into a highly regarded Life Plan Community. We work to accommodate your way of life and personal needs. You can have the level of service you need now, with the security of knowing we will be here if your needs change. Good Samaritan Home offers independent living, assisted living, nursing care, short-term rehabilitation, and specialized dementia care, all within one campus.
Good Samaritan Home of Quincy
The dream of Good Samaritan Home can be traced back to 1925 when two ladies conceived the idea for a home for the aged. After a Great Depression and World War, the idea took shape again, and the official campaign was launched by the United Church of Christ in 1953. With the help of area churches, organizations, and individuals, Good Samaritan Home opened its doors in 1957.
While the Home has continued to grow and evolve, one thing has remained steadfast: the dream of providing compassionate Christian care to older adults in Quincy and the surrounding communities. Currently, Good Samaritan Home has 180 cottages and houses almost 450 residents.
Providing outstanding care in a warm family atmosphere is only possible through the help of our community. Thanks to the thousands of people who have supported the Home, we are able to continue to provide the highest level of care for our residents. If you would like to get involved, click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities. Good Samaritan Home is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. In 2015, the Good Samaritan Home Foundation was established to handle charitable contributions to the Home. If you would like to make a donation, click here. We are so grateful for the continued generosity and community support.
