Public invited to free party at Oktoberfest Parade

The public is invited to party in the park at the Oktoberfest Parade. It’s being touted as Quincy’s first-ever parade party hosted by Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House and the Quincy Park District to celebrate the Oktoberfest Parade and Field Show Competition. “This is the first time anything like this has been tried in Quincy,” said Barb Holthaus, vice president of the Quincy Park Board and board member of the Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House. “The Lorenzo Bull Park is uniquely situated on the Maine Street parade route. It’s a natural fit to host a parade party. We’re all hoping Quincy will get behind this new event.”

The free party will be held on the Lorenzo Bull Park grounds at 1550 Maine from 2-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 15.

The entire community is invited to enjoy marching bands from all over, including QHS & QND. Bring your lawn chairs and support the talented young people in our community!

Complimentary popcorn will be provided. The QHS Marching Band will make a special stop to play for the partygoers. Cottagers are encouraged to attend this free event! We will not be able to accommodate a bus for in-home residents on this day however.

Happy Birthday
