The Patter

News & Views from Campus: December 16-22

As the end of the year approaches and we take a moment to reflect on another year, we want to say THANK YOU for your continued support! Our work wouldn’t be possible without our active community. This year we recognized our heroes and were reminded just how plentiful they are. We are currently collecting donations for our end of the year fund drive. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Development Director Burgundy Ramsey.

In 2019, we want to remain an integral part of the community by expanding what we do well, and embracing change to improve where we can. Exciting things are on the horizon for us.

This is a busy time with extra holiday activities, entertainment, and outings. As Christmas quickly approaches, we want to remind you of our Christmas Eve Lunch Buffet on December 24. Cottagers and family members are welcome to attend. Reservations can be made at the front desk. While not required, they do help us have an idea of how many to expect and are greatly appreciated. This meal is free for residents and cottagers, and $15 for guests.

Prayer Request and Scripture

This week we are praying for the residents in Anna Brown Vista and the Maintenance staff.

Our Scripture of the Week is John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Weekly Inspiration

“There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.” — Thomas Aquinas

The holidays are the perfect time of year to purchase a homemade placemat to give to your loved ones. Each placemat is $1 donation.
