News & Views from Campus: February 27th – March 5th

This and That…

-Dr. Todd Pettit was named the next superintendent of Quincy Public Schools on Wednesday evening. He is a QHS graduate, holds a Bachelors Degree from Quincy University, and Masters Degree from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Education Degree from Saint Louis University.

-The QHS Blue Devils began postseason play with a victory, 49-37, Tuesday night over Edwardsville. QND was also victorious with a 57-37 win over Illini West.

The Quincy City Council approved an agreement Tuesday night that will help kickstart activity at the site where Kmart was once one of the city’s top big box retailers. Just what will go into the building at 36th & Broadway? Officials are tight lipped thus far, but the rumor mill is churning, and many people think it will be a Target.

Happy Birthday
