Furniture Auction
By: Missy Loos, Director of Human Resources

Good Samaritan Home was founded on the principle that those in need would receive care. Anyone walking through our halls can see that carried out every single day by our employees and volunteers. This caring nature does not just benefit our residents.

The Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) was set up by staff members that wanted to share their concern for each other. The EAF is a program designed to help financially support employees who are facing extended time off of work due to an accident or medical condition and those who are dealing with a catastrophic event such as a house fire or death in the family. This program is solely funded through donations, payroll deductions, and fundraisers.

The EAF Committee is currently hosting a Furniture Silent Auction Fundraiser. Items are located in lower level, in the hallways surrounding the Town Hall.

All are welcome to bid on items. Bidding is now open and will continue until Friday, Feb. 1 at 11 am. The highest bidder receives the item. You do not need to be present when bidding ends to win. If you are the highest bidder, we will contact you later in the day on Friday. All items need to be paid for and picked up by Monday, Feb. 4.

Prayer Request and Scripture

This week we are praying for the residents in Southern Court and for the Nursing Administrators.

Our Scripture of the Week is Habakkuk 3:19 (MSG): “I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God’s Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I’m king of the mountain!”

Lost & Found Day

Social Services will be hosting a Lost and Found Day in the Town Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 9 am to noon. If you are missing something, you might be able to reclaim it at this event. All items left unclaimed will be donated after the event.

Birthday Celebration for Judith Fisher

The Family of Judith Fisher will be having an Open House in celebration of Judith’s 95th Birthday in the Social Room on Sunday, Feb. 3 from 1 to 4 pm. The family requests no gifts, just your presence.
