News & Views from Campus: May 15th – May 21st

-Aqua Fitness Is Back: Aqua Fitness in the pool is now open to all Good Samaritan Residents, Cottagers, and the public! Check out our new rates on the website (under the Care & Services tab) for membership options and the new waiver, give us a call, or stop in the main entrance and make your way to Aaron Mast in Accounting to sign up! We’ve had a ton of interest so don’t delay, reserve your spot and get back in the pool today!

Pottery Update: Thank you to everyone who participated in the pottery painting event last Wednesday! We had an excellent crowd, and we’ve sent the pieces off to be fired. Once that is completed (a week or so), we will bring the pieces back and display them outside the main dining room for all to see!

-Target To Quincy: The wait is over, as it was announced last week that Minnesota-based retailer Target will open up in the old Kmart building at 36th & Broadway. Target is the eighth largest retailer in the United States, operating over 1,900 stores. It brings a welcome alternative since Kmart and Shopko closed!

Happy Birthday

Prayer Request & Scripture

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK

Mathew 6:25-27, 34

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Therefore do noit worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each dah has enough trouble of its own.”
